Wilhelm Frick was an astute German-born politician who served during the Hitler era. He performed the role of the Minister of Interior from 1933 to 1943. He was also the governor of the Bohemian and Moravian protectorate.
Early Life and Education
Wilhelm Frick was born to Henriette and Wihelm Frick. Frick enrolled in the University of Munich, where he studied psychology. He later studied at the University of Heidelberg and the Humboldt University of Berlin. Frick was later appointed as an acting district executive in 1914.
Career
The politician joined the Nazi Party and aided Hitler in carrying out the Beer Hall Putsch in 1923 and managed to avoid imprisonment. He continued to follow Hitler and was rewarded for his loyalty by being named Minister of Interior from 1933 to 1943.
Frick was fearless and was quickly appointed in 1939 to be part of the Council of Ministers of Defence during World War II. He continued to govern the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia from 1943 until Hitler died in 1945.
Personal Life and Death
Frick was married to Emilie Nagel from 1910 to 1934. In 1934, he tied the knot with Magarete Naumburg. The politician was executed in 1946 due to the heinous crimes during World War II.
