About William Christopher
William was a comedian and actor born in Illinois in the United States. He played in a lot of Broadway shows starting with “Beyond the Fringe”. He had guest roles in “Death Valley Days” and “The Men from Shiloh” among others. He went on to feature in “M*A*S*H” as Father Mulcahy. He also performed in several feature films including “The Fortune Cookie”, “The Shakiest Gun in the West” and “Hearts of the West” among others.
Personal Life
He married Barbara who he met on a blind date and went ahead to adopt two children with her.
Humanitarian Work
William had an autistic son so he dedicated some of his time to the National Autistic Society to help spread awareness on autism. He partnered with his wife and wrote the book ‘Mixed Blessings’ where they delved into what raising an autistic child was like.
Death
On the last day of the year 2016, William passed on and his son stated that his father had died from lung cancer. He was said to have known about his cancer about a year and half prior to his death.
