About William Morris
William Morris was a legendary British designer, creative writer of poems and fiction. He also became famous for translating very old and primitive texts.
He published different kinds of works. Some of his notable works are “The Defence of Guenevere”, "The Haystack in the Floods".
His other works, “Masters in this Hall" and "The Snow in the Street" are Christmas-themed poems.
Morris got his first poem published at age 24. He was putting finishing touches to his last novel at the time of his passing on. It was entitled “The Sundering Flood”.
Family life
Little is known of his life except that he was born in a well-to-do family. His mother was called Emma Morris.
He married Jane Burden in 1859 and they gave birth to Jenny Morris and May Morris.
Trivia
He is a pacesetter in what has become known as fantasy fiction with works such as “The Wood Beyond the World” and “The Well at the World's End” to his credit.
Most of his projects were published through the Oxford and Cambridge Magazine, which he established with his friends.
