William Wordsworth was an English romantic poet. He is considered one of the most influential people in starting the English Romantic literature movement.
His Work
In 1793, Wordsworth published his first poems. The first two were titled An Evening Walk and Descriptive Sketches. In the years after this, he worked on the famous Lyrical Ballads with fellow poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. This was a very influential work for the English Romantic movement. Wordsworth then wrote a play titled The Borderers. After marrying and having children, William Wordsworth wrote his most famous work titled The Prelude, which is an autobiographical text.
