September 4th can be considered a special day in history considering how many famous individuals were born on that date. At the top of the list, as far as celebrities of the early 21st century are concerned, would be Beyoncé Knowles herself, who was born in Houston on the date of 4 September 1981. And as you likely already know, she went on to become one of the most successful and influential musicians in industry history.
Another notable name on the list is Damon Wayans of Wayans Bros. fame. And don’t let the well-aged face fool you, as Damon was actually born, in NYC, back in 1960, thus making him 60 years old as of the writing of this post.
Then if we really want to get historical, figures like Lewis Latimer, Mickey Cohen and Henry Ford II also pop up as having birthdays on this day. Lewis Latimer, who was born in Massachusetts in 1848, was actually the son of runaway slaves. That said, he went on to become a famous inventor and one of the most notable African-Americans of the 19th century in general, having worked with both Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison. Mickey Cohen was an early 20th century mobster who was born in 1913 Brooklyn. His claim to fame is having once worked for Al Capone, in addition to holding the distinction of being “the only prisoner ever bailed out of Alcatraz”, i.e. the infamous island prison that was once situated off the coast of San Francisco. And as his name implies Henry Ford II, who came into this world via the Motor City in 1917, was heir to the original Henry Ford, i.e. the man considered most responsible for making automobiles part of our everyday lives.
Some of the more recent names to make the list of famous folks born on 4 September include the likes of Brandon Rowland, Devyn Winkler and Rush Holland Butler, who were respectively born in 2002, 2003 and 2004. These are individuals who older readers may have never heard of, but your kids likely have considering that they rank high amongst the teen social media stars of the day. Indeed the advent of the internet has created a whole new way for people to get famous. So besides those already mentioned, we also have the likes Josh Zerker and Zach Justice, respectively birthed in 1992 and 1995, as well as the more middle-aged Sheri Easterling (b. 1979), who have also made names for themselves via YouTube, TikTok, Twitch or what have you. In fact even a YouTuber/videogamer from Serbia named Mudja (1998) has made the list of famous folk born on 4th September.
