Aileen Wuornos was an American serial killer responsible for killing seven men in Florida. The killings occurred between 1989 and 1990. During her trial, she claimed that she committed the murders in self-defense during her work as a prostitute. She was convicted and handed the death sentence. In 2002, she was executed by lethal injection.
She was the daughter of Diane Wuornos and Leo Dale Pittman. She had an elder brother named Keith. She became pregnant at the young age of 14 after being raped by a family friend. She gave birth to a boy who was placed for adoption. She married Lewis Gratz Fell in 1976. The marriage ended that same year.
