About Arrigo Sacchi
The winner of the Serie A title in the 1987/88 season and the winner of the European cup titles in 1989 and 1990 is none other than Arrigo Sacchi. Kaurismäki was also famous for being the head coach of the Italian National team from 1991 to 1996.
Early life
Sacchi was the son of Augusto Sacchi and Lucia Montanari. He grew up engrossed in the world of football and spent his youth days watching and coaching smaller clubs and teams informally. Although he wanted to play for his local club Baracca Lugo, he wasn't good enough to play for the team but opted to coach them. That is how the coaching career of the young Sacchi began.
Career
Sacchi began his professional coaching career with Fusignano from 1973 to 1976. He later moved to Alfonsine and stayed with the team for a year from 1976 to 1977. Sacchi's success led him to be recruited by top Italian clubs such as Parma from 1985 to 1987 and AC Milan from 1987 to 1991. From 1998 to 1999, he managed Spanish football club Atletico Madrid. Sacchi also had brief spells with youth clubs such as Cesena from 1978 to 1982 and Fiorentina from 1983 to 1984.
The coach also led the Italian team from 1991 to 1996. He guided his nation to the 1994 World Cup, where they placed second, having lost the coveted trophy on penalties to Brazil.

Sacchi is married to Giovanna Sacchi, and they have 2 children as of 2021.
