About Audrey Williams
Aside from being the matriarch of the famous singing family, Audrey Williams was also a famous singer. During the 1940s, she recorded many tracks with her then husband Hank Williams. Some of her most popular songs were titled "Almost Persuaded" and "They're Begging You to Stay".
Family
Her maiden name was Audrey Mae Sheppard, and was born to Charles Sheppard and Artie Mae Harden. Before her marriage to Hank, she had a daughter with James Erskine Guy. With the singer, Audrey had a son named Randall Hank Williams, who would also become a singer. Her grandchildren are singers Holly Williams and Hank Williams III.
Cause of Death
She died of heart failure at age 52.

American singer Johnny Cash made reference to Audrey in the song titled "The Night Hank Williams Came to Town".
Her character in the 2015 film “I Saw the Light” was played by Elizabeth Olsen.
