About Big John Studd
Big John Studd was the ring name of John William Minton, a famous American actor and wrestler. He became a household name during the 1970s and 80s when he participated under the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment) promotion.
During his time with the label, he formed a great partnership with Killer Kowalski, and together they were known as The Executioners. The group won the World Tag Team Championship in 1976.
Throughout his career, he performed under many popular promotions including Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, and the Los Angeles NWA Hollywood Wrestling.
Family
He and Donna Conklin had three kids named Jannelle, Sean, and John Jr.
Achievements
He was inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame in 1995. Nine years later, he became a WWE Hall of Famer.
Death
Studd died in 1995 after he was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer.
