He was the brain behind fights like "The Thrilla in Manila" and "Rumble in the Jungle" which involved boxers like Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali, and George Foreman.
Legal issues
King has been the subject of many legal suits, especially from professional boxers. He was sued by Muhammad Ali in 1982 for not giving him the full payment they agreed on for his fight against Larry Holmes. King settled the boxer with an amount of $50,000 which brought an end to the suit.
