Early Life and Personal Life
Murciano was born in Miami, Florida, and studied at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. He later moved to Los Angeles to reach his goal of becoming a professional actor.
Career
Murciano was first featured in the 1997 action thriller film, “Speed 2: Cruise Control”, which starred Sandra Bullock. Three years later, he was cast in the crime drama series “Traffic”, which saw him star alongside Don Cheadle, Michael Douglas, Dennis Quaid, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Meeting Jerry Bruckheimer in 2001 while filming “Black Hawk Down” eventually led him to be cast in one of his most popular roles, Danny Taylor, the leading character in the CBS mystery drama series, “Without a Trace”, which ran from 2002 to 2009.
Murciano can be seen playing the role of Bright, the gang leader, in the Netflix original film “Poison” (2017). Other films that he has featured in include, “Rough Night”, “The Half of It”, “The Lost City” and “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”.
He has appeared in the following TV series: “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “Medium”, “NCIS”, “666 Park Avenue”, etc.
Awards and Achievements
For his portrayal in the CBS mystery drama, "Without a Trace", he was nominated twice for the ALMA Award in both 2008 and 2009.
