Personal Life
At birth, she was named Olive Dines. She schooled at Erasmus Hall High School. She later attended Pennsylvania State University where she majored in sociology. In 1949, she became the wife of Lee Farr who was an actor. The marriage ended after a daughter named Denise Farr. When the marriage ended, she got together with Jack Lemmon and in 1962, they got married. They lasted for almost four decades until he passed away in 2001. They also had a daughter named Courtney.
Career
During her teenage years, she started modelling. She disclosed that she had developed early and her body made her look mature. This was an advantage for the agencies since she was not at the right age to model. She worked in a few advertisements and photo shoots. In 1955, she got an acting gig to act as Emily Evans in “Big House, U.S.A”. In the following year, she featured in “Time Table”, “Jubal” and “The Last Wagon”. Other shows she has been in include “Hell Bent for Leather”, “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour” and “It Takes a Thief”.
