About Fritjof Capra
The Austrian-born American pioneering physicist merited a gold award in the Science category of the IndieFab Book of the Year Awards. A founding director of the Center for Ecoliteracy in Berkeley, he has helped integrate ecological and systems thinking in primary and secondary education.
Education & Early Works
In 1966, he earned his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Vienna and shortly after, launched an investigation in particle physics at the University of Paris.
Later Achievements
For 35 years, he examined the social and philosophical conclusions that can be drawn from contemporary science. In addition to his ground-breaking research, he penned several globally acclaimed books and co-wrote several others. Notable among his books are “The Tao of Physics” and “The Turning Point.”
Awards
He is a recipient of the Medal of the President of the Italian Republic and the Bioneers Award.
