Gabriela Sabatini goes down into the history book as one of the best tennis players ever. A prominent player in women's singles and doubles during her career, the Argentine won 41 championships and peaked at No. 3 in both categories between the mid-1980s to mid-1990s.
As a singles player, she reached the finals of Wimbledon in 1991 and the US Open in 1988, but lost both games. She also earned a silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
In doubles, she and Steffi Graf won the Wimbledon in 1988 and reached three finals at the French Open. She held the record for the most victories over player’s ranked No. 1 at the time of their retirement.

She was born to Beatriz Garofalo Sabatini and Osvaldo Sabatini. He is the sister of renowned actor and producer Osvaldo Sabatini.
