About Hasan Salihamidžić
Hasan Salihamidzic, aka Brazzo, is a former Bosnian professional footballer and the former sporting director of Bundesliga’s all-time favorite and most successful club Bayern Munich. During his nine seasons with Bayern Munich, he won the Bundesliga six times, the DFB-Pokal four times, and the 2000-01 UEFA Champions League.
Background
He was called to the Yugoslavia under-16 team in 1992, shortly after graduating elementary school, but was unable to feature due to a siege in Sarajevo by the army of Republika Srpska.
He joined Hamburger SV's youth team after moving to Germany. He would go on to make more than 30 league appearances, scoring ten goals in his final season with the club before joining Bayern Munich.
He stayed at Bayern Munich, competing in Europe against teams like: Real Madrid and Manchester United. From Bayern Munich, he moved to Juventus before retiring at VfL Wolfsburg in 2012.
He appeared in 42 games for Bosnia and Herzegovina, scoring six goals.
After he hung up his boots, the former footballer began working as a regular pundit for Sky Deutschland.
He was appointed sporting director of Bayern Munich in 2017, and officially took up his position on Bayern's executive board as "board director of sport" on July 1, 2020.
