Rollins was enlisted by the Phillies in the second round of the 1996 MLB listings. He spent most of five seasons playing for Phillies junior league teams and played his first big league game on September 17, 2000.
He quickly gained recognition as a talented defensive shortstop and played lead hitter for the Phillies in 2001. He maintained this role for nearly a decade.
The renowned baseball player had three All-Star Game appearances in his playing career.
Achievements
He won the Gold Glove Award four times. He also won the Silver Slugger Award, and the Roberto Clemente Award once.
