Personal Life
He was born in 1973 and was adopted in the same year. His new parents named him Joel Connable and they were both writers. His father Al Connable even worked as a speech writer for the Columbia University’s president. He also had a brother by name Ben who was in the Marine Corps. Later, he was enrolled in Roslyn Public Schools and growing up, he realized he was good at writing so he focused on it. He continued his education at University of Southern California before moving on to Tulane University then Columbia University.
Career
He was a paramedic at a point in his life before he started his journalism career with WLTX where he worked as a newscaster. He then got employed by News 19 for some time before moving on to work with KCAL TV. With them, he worked for a few years as a reporter before starting another job with WTVJ as a news anchor.
Death
At a young age, he found out he was suffering from Type 1 diabetes so he moved around with an insulin pump at all times. In 2012, his pump machine for diabetes got faulty causing him to have a seizure, which claimed his life.
