She graduated with a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, in 1955.
Family Life and Children
Kathryn became the second wife of significant musical figure Bing Crosby, who was more than thirty years her senior. They birthed three children – Nathaniel, Mary and Harry.
After Crosby’s death, on October 14, 1977, the actress remarried, to Maurice William Sullivan, in 2000. The marriage lasted until 2010, when Sullivan passed away.
Her Career
Kathryn has been featured in several films and hosted “The Kathryn Crosby Show”.
Some of her outstanding movies include “The 7th Voyage of Sinbad” (1958), “Anatomy of a Murder” and “The Big Circus” (1959). She acted with her husband and children in the 1970 musical animated film “Goldilocks”.
In 2010, the veteran actress appeared in Henry Jaglom’s comedy-drama film “Queen of the Lot”.
Other Interesting Facts
In the 1960s, she became a registered nurse after completing her nursing training at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles.
She was the host of the Crosby National Golf Tournament at Bermuda Run Country Club in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, which lasted for sixteen years before ending in 2001.
She was about thirty years younger than her first husband, Bing Crosby.
