Kazuya Kamenashi is a Japanese singer, actor, host, producer, model, and KAT-TUN member. He is known for his roles in movies such as “It's Me, It's Me” (2013), “Joker Game” (2015), and “Policeman and Me” (2017).
Family and Background
He is the third child of his parents, born on February 23, 1986 in Edogawa, Tokyo with two older brothers named Yuichiro and Koji, and a younger brother named Yuya.
At the age of 12 he joined the Japanese talent agency, Johnny & Associates.
Career
Kamenashi, as he is commonly known, is a member of the KAT-TUN group and regarded as the group's unofficial "leader".
He played the lead in a live-action adaptation of the manga series “Kami no Shizuku” in 2009.
He appeared as a doctor in the third episode of the TBS drama series “Mr. Brain”, alongside Takuya Kimura.
On July 11, 2009, he made his film debut in the manga series “Gokusen The Movie”, starring as Ryu Odagiri. The film raked half a billion yen in its first weekend, debuting at the top of the box office and remaining in the top ten for six weeks.
