About Lecrae
Lecrae is an award-winning American record producer, songwriter, and recording artiste who became popular in the music world with his single titled "Don't Waste Your Life". His other well-known tracks are "Overdose", "Round of Applause", and "I'm Turnt".
In 2012, he launched his maiden EP which he titled “Church Clothes”. After gaining some fame with his singles, he released his debut studio album dubbed “Real Talk” in 2004. He followed it up with his second album two years later and titled it “After the Music Stops”. By the end of 2018, he had recorded seven additional albums.
He has also appeared in some television series such as “Believe Me”, “Superfly”, and “Breakthrough”.
Family
Much isn’t known about his private life. However, it is understood that he was raised by his mother and trained by his grandmother. As of the end of 2019, he was married to a lady called Darragh Moore with three children.
Achievements
In 2013, Lecrae won the “Best Gospel Album” at the Grammy Awards with his album titled “Gravity”.
Two years later, he was crowned the “Best Gospel Artist” at the BET Awards.
Lecrae has won the Dove Awards on eight different occasions as of 2020.
