Lloyd Cadena was a Filipino internet star, author and radio DJ. He joined YouTube in 2011, with his channel, Lloyd Café Cadena. He began by making challenge, unboxing and cooking videos with a twist of comedy on the channel. His videos made him popular and he became one of the most famous YouTubers in his homeland.
As an author, his writing credits include books “Mahal Ko na Siya… Pak na Ito!” and “Eng Serep Megwele”.
Personal Life
He was openly gay and received death threats for it.
Accomplishments
In August 2019, he received the “Social Good Award” from the Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines. Before his passing, his YouTube channel had accrued over 5.3 million subscribers and more than 440 million views.
Death
On Friday, September 4, 2020, it was announced by his family, via his Facebook page, that he had passed away.
