About Michael McGillicutty
Michael McGillicutty was the ring name of professional wrestler, Joseph Curtis Hennig during his time in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)’s NXT brand. He had debuted professionally in 2007 with the World League Wrestling (WLW) promotion before signing with WWE later that year. Prior to moving to NXT, he had performed at WWE’s developmental brand, the Florida Championship Wrestling. In 2013, he adopted the stage name, Curtis Axel as he re-debuted on WWE Raw. His time with the promotion came to an end in 2020.
Family Life
His father, Curt Hennig and his grandfather, Larry Hennig both wrestled professionally. His mother’s name is Leonice. He was raised alongside three younger siblings. He has three sons with his wife, Brooke Hennig, whom he has been married to since 2004.
