About Molly Tuttle
Molly Tuttle began her musical career when she was very young. At the age of 13 years, she partnered with her father to release an album titled “The Old Apple Tree”. Two years later, the singer became a member of her family’s music group called The Tuttles with AJ Lee.
In 2014, she had the opportunity to perform as a member of the band known as Goodbye Girls. Later that year, she helped the collective to publish an EP which was entitled “Going to Boston”. After completing a number of projects with the girls’ group, Tuttle began her solo career. In 2015, the California-born singer released her first solo EP titled “Rise”.
Family
She is the daughter of multi-instrumentalist Jack Tuttle. Her siblings Michael and Sullivan are also into music.
Education
Tuttle was trained at Berklee College of Music.
Accomplishments
Her numerous honors include the International Bluegrass Music Awards, and the Americana Music Honors & Awards. She has also been nominated for a Grammy Award.
Trivia
Tuttle is the first female to be awarded the “Guitar Player of the Year” by the International Bluegrass Music Association.
Growing up, she looked up to celebrated artists like Alison Krauss, Laurie Lewis, and Kathy Kallick.
