About Ricardo Arjona
Ricardo Arjona is a Guatemalan singer-songwriter, musician and record producer who has gained a reputation as one of the all-time best-selling Latin American music artists. His debut album, “Dejame Decir Que Te Amo” was released in 1985. Eight years later, he achieved international success through his fourth studio album, “El Animal Nocturno”.
He has released music in the genres of pop rock, Latin pop, rock, Cuban music, Latin ballad, a capella and folk. In 2017, he released his 15th studio album, “Circo Soledad”.
Family Life
He was the son of Mimi Morales and Ricardo Arjona Moscoso. He has two children with Leslie Torres, a Puerto Rican woman he dated until 2005. He also has one child with Daisy Arvelo, a Venezuelan model.
Achievements
The Billboard Latin Music Awards honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. He has also received awards from the Grammys, the Latin Heritage Awards and the Latin Grammy Awards.
Trivia
He used to play basketball professionally and was even a member of the national basketball team of Guatemala.
