About Robin Ventura
1988's Golden Spikes Award winner Robin Mark Ventura is a former American professional baseball player who played over 15 seasons for numerous teams in Major League Baseball.
Early Life
The baseball player was born to Darlene and John Ventura. Ventura, who is of Italian and Portuguese descent, first graduated from Righetti High School and later earned a degree at Oklahoma State University.
Career
The baseball player made his professional debut with the Chicago White Sox in 1989 and played with the team till 1998. He then moved on to join the New York Mets from 1999 to 2001 and later played with the New York Yankees from 2002 to 2003. Ventura played for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2003 until his retirement in 2004. The baseball player also coached the Chicago White Sox from 2012 to 2016. Ventura has a record of over 290 home runs and more than 1,100 runs batted in.
Personal Life
Ventura married Stephanie Hebard in 1990. The couple have 4 children together as of 2021.
Achievements
Ventura is a 6-time Rawlings Gold Glove winner, he is also a 2-time MLB All-Star and a National Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee.
