About Rupert Brooke
Rupert Brooke was a poet of British nationality. He was widely known for his unique and idealistic war sonnets. One of his poems that gained media recognition was titled “The Soldier”. Brooke was also known for his extraordinary appearance; charming, and handsome.
In 1915, he gained media recognition as a war poet after the Times Literary Supplement published two of his sonnets. His poems include “The Old Vicarage, Grantchester”, and “The Dead”.

Brooke was educated at Rugby School, King's College, and the University of Cambridge.
