About Sailor Jerry
Sailor Jerry was one of the famous American tattooists during the 1930s. He was one of the earliest tattoo artists to deploy the single-use needles. He gained lots of admirers for his eye-catching sailor tattoos which earned him his professional name.
Legacy
After his death, Mike Malone and Ed Hardy, who were two of his closest friends, founded Sailor Jerry Ltd in 1999. The company was in-charge of Jerry’s commercial properties and featured his designs on a number of items including shot glasses, playing cards, and sneakers. They’re also known for their famous rum.

His original name was Norman Keith Collins, and was married to Louise Collins.
