About Sarah Walsh
Sarah Ann Walsh is a retired Australian soccer player. In late 2021, she was appointed the head of Italy Women's Football. In her playing days, she played for clubs such as Sydney FC, Saint Louis Athletica and Western Sydney Wanderers.
Family
She played on the soccer team for Hackettstown High School.
Her romance with American footballer Megan Rapinoe ended in 2013.
Playing Career
Walsh participated in the New South Wales Institute of Sports Football Program as a youngster. In 2009's Women's Professional Soccer draft, Sky Blue FC chose her in the first round. She signed a contract with Wanderers FC in Australia's Westfield W-League for the 2012–13 campaign.
She has competed for Australia at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2006 AFC Women's Asian Cup, and 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. On August 30, 2012, she made her international retirement known. All in all, she featured 70 times for Australia.

Honors
The Australian forward won the W-League Premiership and Championship in 2009.
With Australia, she won the AFC Women’s Asian Cup in 2010.
