About Serj Tankian
Serj Tankian is an Armenian-American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, political activist and music producer famed for being the lead vocalist of the Grammy Award-winning rock band System of a Down, with whom he has released a number of commercially successful albums such as 2001's Toxicity and 2005's Mezmerize. He went on to have a successful solo career with the release of his 2007 debut album Elect the Dead. He is regarded as one of the finest metal vocalists of all time.
Personal Life
He got married to Angela Madatyan in 2012. He and Angela welcomed a son in 2014.
Achievements
His efforts in bringing the Armenian Genocide to the attention of the world coupled with his contribution to the advancement of music, earned him the Armenian Prime Minister's Medal in 2011.
