Career
When Shay Mitchell was a young girl, she competed in dance. During this time, she was recruited by a pre-teen modeling agency. After a successful modeling career, she started acting at the age of 21. She first appeared in the series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Around this time, she also did commercial work for companies such as Pantene. She then had minor roles in the series Rookie Blue and Aaron Stone. After these shows, she had her most famous role as Emily Fields in the popular series Pretty Little Liars.
