The retired South African fly-half played his final professional game for the Pumas in the 2017 Curie Cup. During his career, he also played for the Free State Cheetahs and the Western Force.
Early Life
A Bloemfontein native, he attended Grey College and the Free State University. During his tenure there, he joined the university's rugby squad for the national under -18 Craven Week.
Career Facts
During his career, he played for the Free State Cheetahs for four years, from 2008 to 2012. From 2011 to 2012, he played for the Toyota Free State Cheetahs in the Currie Cup and later joined the Cheetahs in the Super Rugby. He later suited up for the Force where he remained for three seasons and scored 43 caps. In 2015, he joined the Free State Cheetahs for the Currie Cup Premier Division. In 2017, he hung up his rugby boots after 165 appearances and ventured into farming.
Trivia
Together with his twin brother Robert, he played with the South African Under-20 team during the 2008-9 IRB Junior World Championships.
