About Sondra Locke
Sondra Locke was a gifted actress and director who starred as Mick Kelly in the 1968 film The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, for which she earned an Academy Award nominations and two Golden Globe Award nominations. Her other notable film credits include 1971's Willard and 1978's Every Which Way But Loose. She made her directorial debut in the 1986 film Ratboy.
Personal Life
She was born to Pauline Bayne Locke and Raymond Smith. She married Gordon Anderson in 1967. Having separated from her husband, she and actor Clint Eastwood began a romantic relationship that lasted from 1975 to 1989.
Trivia
During her relationship with Eastwood, she aborted two pregnancies. According to her, she had the abortions because Eastwood claimed they were not ready to be parents.
In the late 1960s, she posed partially nude for Playboy magazine.
She battled with breast cancer in the early 1990s and overcame it through mastectomy and chemotherapy.
