Vernon Wells is a retired baseball player from the U. S. A. He played as a centerfielder. He joined the New York Yankees in 2013 and spent a year with the club before going into retirement.
Prior to that, he started playing baseball at high school. In 1997, he was drafted into Major League Baseball by the Toronto Blue Jays. Wells played for the said team for 12 seasons. After successful seasons, he joined the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2011 for two seasons. At the end of Wells' career, he had a batting average of .270 with 930 runs and 270 home runs out of the 1731 games he played.
