Vince Carter is a professional basketball player who joined the Toronto Raptors in 1998 and won the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He went on to play for teams such as the New Jersey Nets and the Dallas Mavericks before joining the Memphis Grizzlies in 2014. His impressive slam dunks and leaping abilities earned him various nicknames such as Air Canada and Vinsanity.
Career
He played college basketball for the University of North Carolina before being drafted in the 1998 NBA draft by the Golden State Warrior and traded to the Toronto Raptors.
Achievements
In addition to being part of the NBA All-Star selection several times, he represented the U.S. in the 2000 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal. He also won the Slam Dunk Contest in 2000.
