Wendy O. Williams was a songwriter and singer of American nationality. She was the first feminine face of the band, Punk Rock. She was recognized for her crazy stage appearances including firing shotguns, semi-nudity, and smashing of guitars. Williams had a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Female Rock Vocal Performance” in 1985.

Williams was educated at the Community Music School which was affiliated with the Eastman School of Music of Rochester University and R. L. Thomas High School.

She was the daughter of Audrey Stauber and Robert F. Williams. In 1976, she got married to Rod Swenson. As a kid, she was calm and shy.
