The comedian was born in Los Angeles, California. She was enrolled at San Jose State University, where she graduated with a major in communications.
Her first time performing stand-up comedy was at her friend’s club when she lost a gamble and had to perform on stage as a comedian. She then realized she could make a living as a comedian and never turned back on the career.

Her most notable roles were in the sitcoms “Thea,” “Moesha,” and “The Parkers,” in which she acted as Lynette Armstrong-Russell in the first and Andell Wilkerson in the second and third.
She also earned accolades for acting in numerous comedy and drama films, including “Friday,” “House Party 3,” “Def Comedy Jam,” and “Poetic Justice.”
Personal Life & Death
She was married to Jerome Harry from July 2000 until her death in June 2012.
In the 200s, she battled with kidney disease and eventually pulled through a kidney transplant. Sadly, she lost her life to cervical cancer at age 48 on 14 June 2012.
