About Dave Winfield
Baseball Hall of Famer Dave Winfield spent over 22 years in the MLB as a right fielder. He made his debut with the San Diego Padres who drafted him into the league in 1973. He went on to feature for the New York Yankees and the California Angels before winning the World Series in 1992 with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Before ending his career, he starred for some renowned teams such as the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians.

He spent most of his childhood with his mum Arline alongside a brother named Stephen. His three children with Tonya Turner are David II, Arielle and Shanel.
Education
He graduated from Saint Paul Central High School before joining the University of Minnesota.
Achievements
During his playing days, he won seven Gold Glove Awards. He was also selected into 12 All-Star teams. He’s a member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame and was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.

ESPN voted him as the most complete athlete in any sport in 2004.
He has also worked with Fox Broadcasting as an analyst.
