About David Copperfield
David Copperfield is a celebrated American illusionist widely regarded as the most successful magician of all time. Throughout his career, he has received numerous prestigious awards and honors, including several Emmy Awards and a Living Legend Award, which was bestowed upon him by the Library of Congress. He made history in 1995 by becoming the first illusionist to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Personal Life
He dated supermodel Claudia Schiffer from 1994 to 1999. In 2010, he fathered a daughter with model Chloe Gosselin.
Trivia
In 1984, while practicing an illusion, he almost drowned after being unable to free himself from his handcuff and shackles while in a sealed tank of water. Luckily for him, he was rescued in the nick of time and rushed to a nearby hospital.
He holds numerous Guinness World Records.
In 2007, a model named Lacey L. Carroll accused him of sexually assaulting her. The FBI and federal prosecutors spent over two years investigating the issue and closed the case in 2010 without bringing any charges against him.
