Background and Education
She comes from Hollywood, California but she grew up in North Hollywood and Studio City. Her parents are Dorothy Harrington and Clyde Baker. She has two siblings, Patricia and Cheryl. She went to Van Nuys High School and graduated in 1956. She went on to study acting in New York.
Career
She secured a contract with Twentieth Century Fox, when she was still training in Los Angeles. Her first film appearance was as “Margot Frank '' in “The Diary of Anna Frank ''. She continued to work with Fox and played roles in films like;” Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959)”, “The Best of Everything (1959)”and “Nine Hours to Rama (1963). She moved on to work with Universals on a pair of distinguished works like; “Mirage and Marnie (1965). The notable actress has also made appearances in “A Woman of Substance (1984)”,” Jackie Bouvier Onasis (2000)” and “The Silence of the Lambs (1991).
She is also an educator, who has tutored at the School of Motion Pictures and the Academy of Arts University, San Francisco.
Trivia
She was a contestant in the 1957 Miss Rheingold pageant.
