About Don Panoz
Don Panoz was a one-of-a-kind personality in the world of racing; he dabbled in a range of activities including being a pharmaceutical entrepreneur in the United States, as well as the co-founder of Panoz automobiles and the American Le Mans Series.
In 1961, He established Milan Medicines, a global generic and specialty pharmaceuticals firm, before going on to Élan Corp., where he invented a way of administering medicine via a skin patch. Panoz's transdermal technology is most recognized today for the nicotine patch, which aids in the cessation of smoking.
After achieving enormous success with his medicinal product, he switched his attention to motorsports and co-founded Panoz Auto Development alongside his son. In addition to producing excellent race vehicles, he was highly involved in the business side of automobile racing.
