About Eddy Mitchell
Eddy Mitchell is the stage name of French actor and singer Claude Moine. In the 1960s, he started performing with the collective called The Black Socks (Les Chaussettes Noires). The band was famous in 1961 following some impressive performances at the Golf-Drouot night club. His efforts helped the group to record their debut album entitled “100% rock”.
Mitchell began his solo career in 1963. That same year, he published his maiden album dubbed “Voici Eddy... c'était le soldat Mitchell”. Outside his native France, the singer has performed in countries like England, and the United States.
Acting career
The French entertainer is also famous in the film industry. He’s best known for his Frédéric Saldmann role in the 2014 film “Salaud, on t'aime (We Love You, You Bastard)”. His voice was also used for the Chanticleer character in the French rendition of the animated musical “Rock-a-Doodle”.
Personal Life
The singer has been married to Muriel Bailleul since 1980. Prior to their union, he was the husband of Francoise Lavit.
