Career Highlight
Freddy Deeb joined the poker train when he couldn’t afford to fund his fees at Utah State University. His financial situation was even worsened due to the fact that he couldn’t get any employment as a result of certain restrictions on his student visa. As a result, the young Deeb took to gambling.
He became publicly known as a poker player in 1996 during the 1996 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in which he took home a cash prize of $146,250.
Deeb experienced his breakthrough when he emerged the winner at the season 4 of the World Poker Tour, winning $1,000,000.
He has participated in poker championships such as the World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour and the Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament.
As of 2022, the Lebanese poker player has won two World Series of Poker bracelets – in 1996 and 2007. The latter fetched him over $2 million in cash prize.
