Fuelled by the desire for better macro surgical techniques, he researched into and developed newer technologies. He also developed such tools as the adjustable retractor and ergonomic aneurysm clips. A groundbreaking medical scientist, he shared his expertise with later generations of neurosurgeons and opened them up to more neurosurgical possibilities.
Accolade
In 1999, he was named the “Neurosurgeon of the Century” by the Journal of Neurosurgery.
