About Hermann Göring
Hermann Göring was a German politician and military leader known for being a prominent member of the Nazi Party (NSDAP). He played a very huge role in helping Adolf Hitler take power in 1933. He was the second most powerful man in Germany after Hitler during the latter’s reign. Hitler named him his successor in 1941.
Personal Life
He was married to Carin von Kantzow from 1923 to 1931 and to German actress Emmy Sonnemann from 1935 until his death in 1946. He had a daughter, Edda with Emmy.
Trivia
He was one of the high-ranking Nazis who were convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity and sentenced to death during the Nuremberg war-crimes trials in 1946. He killed himself the night before he was supposed to be hanged.
