James Marsters is an American actor who made a name for himself playing the role of Spike in the supernatural drama series Buffy the vampire Slayer as well as its famous spin-off series Angel. He is also famous for playing such characters as Captain John Hart in the science fiction television series Torchwood, Brainiac in the popular superhero drama television series Smallville and John McCarthy in the drama film P.S. I Love You.
