Early Life
At the age of 12, he started playing the drums, and at age 15, he had his band debut.
Joseph Michael Kramer had two wives both of whom are deceased.
Career
He reconnected with Aerosmith members Steven Tyler and others in 1970, who were in need of a drummer. From that moment on Aerosmith was born. He penned a number of Aerosmith songs, including "Pandora's Box," "Kings and Queens," and "The Hand That Feeds."
On June 30, 2009, his autobiography "Hit Hard: A Story of Hitting Rock Bottom at the Top" was published.
