About John Legend

John Legend is an American singer, songwriter and actor known internationally for a collection of hit songs such as Used to Love U, Ordinary People, Heaven, All of Me and Like I'm Gonna Lose You. In 2008, he portrayed Marcus Hooks in the film Soul Men.

Family Life

He is the son of Phyllis Elaine and Ronald Lamar Stephens. He has three siblings. He married model Chrissy Teigen in 2013 after dating her for four years.

Awards

In 2015, he won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song with the song Glory. From 2006 to 2015, he won a total of 10 Grammy Awards. He is also the recipient of the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007.
