About Kieran Richardson
Kieran Richardson is an English professional footballer who has mainly played over fifteen years in the Premier League.
Club career
After distinguishing himself at Parkwood Primary School team, Richardson was invited to train with Arsenal football club. He later moved to the other side of London to train professionally at West Ham United.
Richardson played for English giants Manchester United from the 2002/03 to 2006/07 premiership seasons but was loaned to West Bromwich Albion for 2004/05 season.
He signed a 4-year contract with Sunderland in July 2007, and then moved to play two seasons for Fulham. In July 2014, he signed a 2-year deal with Aston Villa and when they were relegated in June 2016, he only left for Cardiff City in Wales after contract expired.
International career
He captained the England Under-21 team during a February 2005 friendly against the Netherlands, and scored two goals in his debut senior team match against the US team in 2005. He also played in the 2006 World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Austria, but was not included in the squad for Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup. All in all, he made eight appearances for the England national team.
Records
He won the 2003 FA Community Shield, the 2005/06 League Cup, and the 2006/07 Premier League with Manchester United. He also won the 2002/03 FA Cup with the youth team.
