About Link Wray
The Rolling Stone magazine described Link Wray as one of the greatest guitarists in history. A household name during the 1950s, the American musician shot to fame in 1958 with his instrumental titled "Rumble".
Two years later, he issued his first album which was entitled “Link Wray & The Wraymen”. In 1971, he dropped a self-named album which is considered one of his most successful works. He went on to work with other popular musicians like Robert Gordon, and John Cipollina.
Family
His maiden name was Fred Lincoln Wray Jr. and he was the son of Lillian Mae Coats and her husband Fred Lincoln Wray, Sr. He was raised alongside two brothers named Doug and Vernon. The singer had eight kids from his three different marriages.
Achievements
He was nominated for a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 and 2017.

His demise was caused by heart failure.
