About Luke Donald
Luke Donald started gaining attention in 1999 after he was crowned the winner of the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. The following year, he won the Chicago Open, becoming the only amateur player to achieve that.
He played his first professional game in 2001 at PGA Tour’s Reno-Tahoe Open. His breakthrough came in 2011 when he won the tour’s money list. That same year, he was crowned the winner of the European Race to Dubai making him the only golfer to win the two.
He has played in many high-profile tournaments such as The Open Championship, PGA Championship, Masters Tournament, and the United States Open.
Private Life
His children with Diane Antonopoulos are called Sophia and Elle.
Education
He attended Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe; and Rudolf Steiner School before studying art at Northwestern University.
Achievements
In 2011, he won the PGA Tour Player of the Year, European Tour Golfer of the Year, and the Vardon Trophy. That same year, he made it to the summit of the Official World Golf Ranking.
